Patna High Court CWJC No.18748 of 2016 dt.17-08-2017 2/3 thereafter, for taking part in Civil Engineering-3rd Semester examination, conducted by the State Board of Technical Education, Bihar, Patna.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that because of illness, he could not apply for registration and submit registration fee within the time prescribed by the said Government Polytechnic, Bhagalpur.

My attention has been drawn to a counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents, stating that the last date for submission of fee and registration form was fixed as 30.10.2015 and 09.11.2015 with late fine. It was clearly indicated in the notice, dated 29.09.2015, issued by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar, Patna, that no application made after the last date, i.e., 09.11.2015, for registration, shall be entertained. Accordingly, no registration number has been issued to the petitioner.
4. The facts, which have been asserted on behalf of the respondents, are not in dispute.
5. Learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, has submitted that the petitioner's application, for issuance of registration number, may be treated to be application for next examination, scheduled in near future.

6. Whether registration is required or not and whether the said application can be treated to be the application for the next session can be considered by the respondents. The petitioner shall be allowed to appear for the next examination, if the law and the rules permit.
7. This application stands disposed of.
