The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Mehus P.S. Case No. 03 of 2017, registered under Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The accusation is that petitioner settled the marriage of his daughter with petitioner no. 2, Madhu Kumar and at the time of settlement of marriage, he gave gold ornaments and other valuable articles and the date of marriage was fixed. Thereafter, petitioner no. 1 made demand of Scorpio vehicle as dowry, on which, informant requested that he is unable to provide Scorio then petitioners become

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, in fact, petitioner no. 1 is running the jewelry shop and informant took ornaments worth of Rs.2,92,000/- and paid only Rs.50,000/-, regarding which, an agreement was prepared on the stamp prepare to pay the remaining amount in two installments and when the remaining amount was not paid then petitioner sent the legal notice on 14.11.2016 to the informant. Thereafter, the informant filed the present case only to grab the money of the petitioner. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioner be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sheikhpura, in connection with Mehus P.S. Case No. 03 of 2017, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. (Rajendra Kumar Mishra, J) Bhardwaj/- U T
