The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 114 of 2017 registered under Section 7 of the E.C. Act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the matter relates to Essential Commodities Act. Petitioner has not sold rice and wheat in the black marketing, which would appear from Annxure-2. Further submission is that the impugned order also shows that certain papers with list has been filed on behalf of the petitioner to show that he had distributed the grains of PDS among the public.
