Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Teghra P.S. Case No. 101 of 2022 lodged under Sections 304(B) and 34 of the I.P.C.

As per the prosecution case, the allegation of demand of Rs. 5,00,000/- and 5 bhari gold is there in the F.I.R. and upon non-payment of the said, the allegation of killing by hanging is there.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He further submits that petitioner is the husband and he is in custody since

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56731 of 2022(2) dt.24-02-2023 2/2 18.04.2022 having two criminal cases pending against him. He further submits that the first case was filed, when the petitioner was a juvenile and as such disposed off, where the second case is still pending. Counsel submits that charge sheet has been submitted under Section 306 of the Cr.P.C.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

In the present facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

With this observation, the bail application stands rejected.

Trial court is directed to conclude the trial within six months.
