The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 05.02.2021 with a direction to the trial court to conclude the trial within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of that order as far as possible.

This Court had called for a report about the stage of the case from the court below on 22.12.2021. The report indicates that even the charges are yet to be framed. However, Mr. Deo Govind Kumar Singh, learned Advocate, on instructions, submits that charges now have been framed in this case but no witness has been examined as yet.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.69443 of 2021(5) dt.11-05-2022 2/2 The petitioner is in custody since 10.09.2019. However, looking at the nature of accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to him for the present.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. The trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible. If there is no substantial progress in the trial within the next six months, it would be open for the petitioner to approach the trial court for grant of bail. (Ashutosh Kumar, J) krishna/- U T
