JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-07-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That this Writ application is being filed on behalf of the petitioners in the nature of Writ/Writs, Order/Orders, Direction/Directions upon the Respondents to grant armed License to the petitioners for protection of their life which is pending before Respondent no. 2 since 28.12.2021."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.13017 of 2023(4) dt.16-07-2024 2/2 petitioners seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Gopalganj, to dispose off the pending New Arms License Case No.14 of 2023, within a stipulated time frame.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid arms license case has not yet been disposed off, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Gopalganj, to dispose off the aforesaid arms license case, in case the same has not yet been disposed off, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
