The limited grievance of the petitioner is that his prayer for grant of Arms License under the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 and the rules framed therein remains pending for consideration and disposal by the District Magistrate Nalanda. Mr. Manish Sahay learned counsel for the petitioner with reference to Annexure-1 has submitted that an application to this effect has been filed on 17.1.2014 and although to the knowledge of the petitioner, due recommendations have been made in favour of the petitioner but the application has not been disposed of.

Patna High Court CWJC No.280 of 2015 (2) dt.12-02-2015 2 / 2 Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking note of the nature of grievance raised herein, this writ petition is disposed of with directions to the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif to consider the grievance of the petitioner and dispose of his application for grant of Arms Licence in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
