The petitioner seeks bail in Barachatti P.S. Case No. 312/2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 47(a), 48(2) and 63 of Bihar Excise Amendment Act.

The petitioner was intercepted and 212 bottles (134 litres) of Indian made foreign liquor were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is in jail since 16.08.2016. The petitioner has remained in jail for about six and half months and he has got no criminal antecedent.
