The petitioners seek regular bail in connection with Raniganj Police Station Case No. 469 of 2019, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147/148/149/341/323/ 452/307/302 of the Indian Penal Code.
The prosecution case, as per the First Information Report, is that on 22.12.2019, due to previous land dispute, seven accused persons entered into the house of the informant, armed with lathi, danda etc., and assaulted the brother and sister-in-law of the informant, as a result of which, the brother of the informant died.

No.69503 of 2021(3) dt.10-05-2022 2/3 Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners and the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent. He further submits that similarly situated co-accused persons, namely, Happan Lal Baski, Tallu Tudu, Shivlal Tudu, Chandmani Tudu and Laxman Hembram, have been granted bail by this Court. He further submits that the petitioners are in custody since 20.09.2021, having no criminal antecedent, and charge sheet has already been submitted against them and as such there is no likelihood that the petitioners will abscond and/or tamper with the evidence.
Regards being had to the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking into consideration the materials on record and the fact that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent, the allegation against them is general and omnibus in nature, similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court, charge sheet has already been submitted and the petitioners are in custody since 20.09.2021, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioners. This application is, accordingly, allowed.
Let the petitioners, above named, be released on bail, upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (twenty
