1. The defects pointed out by the Registry are ignored.

2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That, this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ /writs for direction to the Respondents specially the respondents no. 2 to pass an appropriate order to issuance license for DBBL Gun to the petitioner who is grandson of the Late Jag Narayan Singh who was holding license for a DBBL Gun 12 Bore which license was granted to him as dacoity was committed in the house of the petitioner and in course of dacoity the dacotis committed murder of family members namely Ram Deo Singh (the full brother of Jag Narayan Singh)."

3. At the outset, the learned counsel the for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14645 of 2023(2) dt.30-07-2024 2/2 petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Sasaram, to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner, for grant of the arms license on 25.11.2014.

4. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Sasaram, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has been filed and is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
