The present writ application has been filed for quashing the order dated 14.08.2014, passed in Stamp Case No. 15 of 2013, by Respondent No.4, the Assistant Inspector General Registration, Saran Division, Chapra, whereby the petitioner has been directed to deposit deficit stamp to the tune of Rs. 18120/- along with the penalty to the tune of Rs. 1820/- within a period of sixty days, failing which, he has been directed to pay interest at the rate of 5% per month on deficit stamp. Though from the perusal of the impugned order and submissions of the parties, it appears that it was submitted on behalf of the petitioner before Respondent No.4, the Assistant

Patna High Court CWJC No.20541 of 2018(2) dt.25-10-2018 2/2 Inspector General, Registration, Saran Division, Chapra, that the petitioner is ready to make payment of deficit stamp along with the penalty, but since the order has been passed by Respondent No.4, the Assistant Inspector General, Registration, Saran Division, Chapra, this Court is not inclined to interfere. However, the petitioner is at liberty, if so advised, to prefer an appeal against the impugned order within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order along with an application for condonation of delay, whereupon it is expected from the appellate authority to consider the same keeping in view of the fact that the writ application was pending before this Court.

For next five weeks, let no coercive steps be taken against the petitioner in pursuance to the order dated 14.08.2014, passed in Stamp Case No. 15 of 2013. Accordingly, with the above observations and directions, the present writ application is disposed of. (Dinesh Kumar Singh, J) Amrendra/- U
