Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned State counsel.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that while on duty and in the course of routine checking of vehicles, the petitioner's father, who was a havaldaar in the Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) Force, was run over. He sustained grievous injuries which resulted in his death while in harness. The petitioner's father died on 10-9-2021, and he has made applications before the authorities, copies of which are annexure-4 to the writ petition.

Patna High Court CWJC No.14887 of 2022(2) dt.16-08-2023 2/2 authorities on 24-6-2022.

For facilitating better consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be applying afresh physically to the respondent Nos. 3 and 4. 5.

In view of such submission, this Court finds that the issue remains to be considered by the authorities as per the petitioner's entitlement and no adjudication is called for at the present.

If the petitioner makes his representation within four (4) weeks, the respondent Nos. 3 and 4 would be obliged to accord due consideration within three (3) months thereafter by reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law. 7.

Writ petition is disposed of.
