Petitioner has filed present writ application for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was working as Assistant Teacher in Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya at Sirsia, Bithan, Samastipur. The father of the petitioner died in harness on 22.04.2015, thereafter,

Patna High Court CWJC No.16906 of 2019(2) dt.21-08-2019 2/2 petitioner has filed application for grant of compassionate appointment but the case of the petitioner is pending consideration and till date there is no decision one way or the other by the respondents.

Considering the fact that the scheme of compassionate appointment was introduced as social security measure with a view to tide over the financial crisis faced by the family due to untimely death of bread earner, the respondent District Programme Officer (Establishment), Samastipur are hereby directed to take appropriate decision in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
