The petitioner prays for a direction commanding the respondents, particularly, the Block Development Officer to make payment of compensation for torturing and defaming him. Such torture or defamation alleged by the petitioner is in respect of management of Temple of Lord Shiva famous as Shri 108 Ugna

On the basis of averments made in the writ application and the documents filed in support thereof, it would be difficult for this Court to grant the relief. The counsel(s) for the State and religious Trust Board have rightly submitted that it is a case of defamation the remedy lies before the Court having competent jurisdiction in the matter.
