JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 20-06-2018 This writ application was filed in 2011 for a direction to the respondents to adjust the petitioner on class-3 post. The petitioner was appointed on class-4 post on compassionate ground. The idea behind the compassionate appointment is to provide job to the dependents of the employee died in harness to tide over the financial crisis.

Compassionate appointment is not a reservation and no dependent can claim for compassionate appointment on a particular post. The petitioner was appointment on compassionate ground and he has availed the same. The Court is of the considered view that there is no question of shifting the petitioner from class -4 to class-3 post as discussed hereinabove. The object of the compassionate appointment is only

The Court in the aforesaid facts and circumstances does not find any merit in the case and the same is dismissed as devoid of any merit.
