JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 13-12-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioners seek pre-arrest bail in connection with K. Hat (Maranga) P. S. Case No. 645 of 2017 registered under Sections 341, 323, 307, 386, 504, 506 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and 27 of the Arms Act.

Regard being had to the allegation that the petitioners demanded Rs.2 lakh as rangdari from the informant and on failure of payment, they assaulted with iron rod and also fired upon him, I am not inclined to grant them pre-arrest bail. Accordingly, the application for grant of pre-arrest bail is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.58873 of 2017 (2) dt.13-12-2017 2/2 rejected.

However, in case the petitioners surrender and seek bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced in any manner by this order.
