2. The petitioner is in custody in connection with Chhatauni P.S Case No. 309 of 2023 from the Court of learned Sessions Judge/Special Judge, East Champaran, Motihari registered for the offences punishable under Sections 414, 420, 468, 471, 489(b), 489(c), 120 (b) of I.P.C and Section 20(b) (ii) C/22 of the N.D.P.S Act.
3. As per allegation in the FIR, on searching the bag of accused Md. Naruddin, two bundles of counterfeit currency of rupees 500-500 notes, one bundle of 111 pieces of counterfeit currency bearing its serial No. 7SE 434518
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.67581 of 2023(4) dt.10-04-2024 2/3 and another bundle of 110 pieces of currency bearing its serial No. 1CH 993250 and 530 gram Charas wrapped in plastic tape were recovered. From another bag, which was kept on back seat of driver Md. Jahid Hussain two bundles of counterfeit currency of rupees 500-500 note, one bundle of 109 piece of counterfeit currency bearing its serial No. 7SE 434516 and another bundle of 112 pieces of counterfeit currency bearing its serial No. 5RT 441517 and 510 gram Charas wrapped in plastic tape were recovered. From both apprehended persons, total counterfeit currency of Rs. 2,21,000/- and total 1.40 Kilogram Charas were recovered.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. It is also submitted that petitioner is in judicial custody since 06.07.2023 and petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as stated in para 3 of the petition.
5. However, learned APP for the State oppose the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.
6. In view of seriousness of allegation as regard to recovery of counterfeit currency and Charas which is much more than commercial quantity, from the conscious

7. Hence, prayer of regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
