Counsel for North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited takes a stand that even according to the petitioner, the husband of the petitioner was appointed under the erstwhile Electricity Board on 26.07.1960 and died on 24.05.1969, i.e., less than ten years of service. At the relevant time, there was no provision for pension or gratuity to the employees.

Looking at the time of the death of the husband of the
