In this case, the petitioner is claiming arrear of salary for the period 25.1.2017 to 20.10.2018 i.e. for about 21 months and having been denied the same.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has represented to different authorities, including the District Magistrate, Nalanda but, the payment has been denied on account of the fact that the office has not received the service book.

Let the authority should consider the case of the petitioner, collect the service book and take a decision with regard to the entitlement of the petitioner and pay the admitted dues to him within a period of five months from the date of

Patna High Court CWJC No.23825 of 2018(2) dt.18-12-2018 2/2 receipt/production of a copy of this order, in failure to make the payment, the amount will carry compound interest at the rate of 8%.

With the aforementioned observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of.
