JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-02-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1(i). For issuance of appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus seeking direction to Respondent Commission to treat the petitioner as reserved category candidate in Inter Level Combine Competitive Main Examination for which he has given his option but inadvertently due to mistake in preliminary examination instead of MBC only BC has been mentioned and thus petitioner was treated to be an unreserved category candidate by the commission and

Patna High Court CWJC No.14706 of 2022(2) dt.20-02-2024 2/2 declared him unsuccessful throughout.

(ii). For issuance of appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus seeking direction to Respondent to republish the result considering the candidature of petitioner under reserved category for which he had given his option in preliminary as well as main Examination but inadvertently due to mistake sub-category was not mentioned in preliminary examination and due to such mistake, there would not have any impact in selection procedure as petitioner had secured higher marks in both category."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Respondents authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
