JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-02-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1(i). To issue writ of mandamus directing the respondents to correct the date of birth of the petitioner in his service book in place of 02.08.1946 to 30.07.1949.

(ii). To issue writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the date of retirement of the petitioner on 01.08.2009 instead of 31.08.2004 in light of the changed date of birth and due to increase in the service period of government employees from 58 years to 60 years during that period.

(iii). To issue writ of mandamus directing the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14596 of 2022(2) dt.20-02-2024 2/2 respondents to provide salary due to the petitioner for the period between 31.08.2004 to 01.08.2009 due to change of date of birth and age of retirement.

(iv). To issue writ of mandamus directing the respondents to fix the pension and grant its consequential benefits to the petitioner in light of the changed date of retirement."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Respondents authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
