The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sultanganj P.S. Case No. 317 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 279, 379, 411, 428 and 429 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 3⁄4 of the Bihar Preservation and Improvement of Animal Act, 1955 and Sections 11(1)/d/e/f and 30(1) of the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals Act, 1960. The petitioner is stated to be driver of a Pick-Up van which was carrying cows allegedly for being slaughtered. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and he is merely the driver of the said truck, hence cannot be held responsible for carrying of the cows. Lastly, it is submitted that all the other co-accused persons have been granted bail. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on regular bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Judge-VI, Patna City, Patna in connection with Sultanganj P.S. Case No. 317 of 2018.
