JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 02-07-2018 Heard Mr. Shanti Pratap, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Kumar Alok, learned S.C-7 for the State. The petitioner has approached this Court raising grievance that having succeeded in the selection process held for appointment to the post of District Programme Chief Coordinator, by a Selection Committee consisting of the District Programme Officercum-Member Secretary, Public Education Committee, Gaya and the Chairman, Zila Parishad as manifest from Annexure-1, yet no appointment orders were being issued.

A counter affidavit is filed on behalf of the respondents

Patna High Court CWJC No.6459 of 2016 dt.02-07-2018 2/2 in which it is stated that on getting information as regarding irregularities in the selection process that on the directions of the Deputy Development Commissioner, the process of issuance of the appointment order was stayed awaiting guidelines but before guidelines could be issued on the selection that the Sakshar Bharat programme, under which these appointments were made, itself, has come to an end on 31.03.2018. Such is the statement made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of respondent no.3. In the circumstances so set forth in the counter affidavit filed today, any discussion on the grievance raised would be academic bearing no consequential result. That the programme has come to end on 31.3.2018, no directions can be issued on the grievance raised at this stage.

The writ petition is disposed of.
