2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sohsarai P.S. Case No. 23 of 2022 registered for the offence under Sections 302, 328, 120B of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 33, 34, 36 of the Bihar Prohibition of Excise Act, 2018.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is alleged to have sold illicit liquor and consuming the same 8 persons have died.

4. The petitioner is in jail since 14.9.2023.

5. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the trial has commenced and two witnesses have been examined who have not supported the prosecution

6. Considering the fact that eight persons have died consuming the illicit liquor sold by the petitioner and also the fact that the trial has commenced, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
