JUSTICE BIBEK CHAUDHURI ORAL ORDER 30-08-2025 In the instant writ petition, the petitioner has alleged that a piece and parcel of land was acquired in the year 1976 under Section 29 of the Bengal Embankment Act, 1873, in pursuance of the notice issued under Section 29 of the said Act to the grandfather of the petitioner. Subsequently, the order of acquisition was made by the Additional Collector, Muzaffarpur, on 24th September 1976. It is the case of the petitioner that neither the grandfather of the petitioner, nor his father, nor he himself received any compensation for the acquisition of the said land. The petitioner made a representation before the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, on 5th September 2022;

2. For the reasons stated above, the instant writ petition is disposed of, directing the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, to dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner within six weeks from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with law, after giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing.

3. With the above order, the instant writ petition is disposed of.
