The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Pachrukhi P.S. Case No. 4 of 2013 registered under Sections 279, 337, 338 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code as also Sections 20 & 22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act.
As per FIR, 52 kg ganja is said to have been recovered from a jeep and one Santosh Rai was apprehended by the police at the time of occurrence. Two other accused persons had managed to escape.

No.55811 of 2015 (4) dt.25-01-2016 2 / 2 It has been contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that in course of investigation, the name of the petitioner transpired on the basis of disclosure made by coaccused. Be that as it may, regard being had to the gravity of the offence and the nature of allegations made in the FIR, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for grant of anticipatory bail is rejected.
