Petitioner seeks bail in Special Case No.130 of 2017 in connection with F.No. NCB/PZU/V/16/2017 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 8, 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act pending in the Court of the Additional Sessions Judge III cum Special Judge, CBI II, Patna.

It is alleged that 1022 Kgs. Ganja has been recovered from the truck. Petitioner was found sitting in the aforesaid vehicle along with Driver.

Counsel for the Union of India submits that petitioner was Khalasi.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.74113 of 2018(2) dt.12-12-2018 2/2 Keeping in view recovery of huge quantity of Ganja, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail is rejected. It is stated that petitioner is in custody since 01.09.2017.

The Court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
