In this case, the father of the petitioner was working in the Agriculture Department in the State of Bihar, who died in harness in the year 1989. At that time, the age of the petitioner was 4 years.

After 16 years, when the petitioner attained the majority he filed an application for compassionate appointment. Such an application cannot be considered as he has not attained the majority within the reasonable period. After 16 years the question of

In such view of the matter, this Court does not find any merit in this writ application. Accordingly, this writ application is dismissed.
