Mr.Manish Kumar (GP4) ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL ORDER 28-01-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Following are the reliefs, sought for by the petitioner in the present writ application:

"(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ to quash and set-aside the order dated 17-092018 passed by the respondent-District Magistrate, Munger in File No. 3511/2014 by which application for Arms Licence double Barrel Gun has been rejected on the lame excuse that parents of petitioner made complaint that he tried to oust them from the residential house.

(ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ to direct the respondents to issue Arms Licence of Double Barrel Gun to the petitioner, who has to go to remote area in connection with his duty and, threat has been given to him for such he had to lodge Suryagarha (Manikpur) P.S. Case No. 1674 of 2014.

Considering the reliefs, sought for in the present writ application, the petitioner is directed to file an appeal under section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959 within a period of 30 days from today. The appellate authority shall consider the claim/appeal of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
