JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 02-09-2019 The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is indecisiveness on the part of the respondents in the matter of compassionate appointment.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that the father of the petitioner died on 19.6.2014 while he was in service. The petitioner applied for appointment on compassionate ground. The concerned school forwarded the case of the petitioner on 31.7.2017 yet no decision one way or the other has been taken by the respondents. The idea behind compassionate appointment is to provide immediate financial support to the family of the

Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents particularly, the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Gaya to place the case of the petitioner before the competent authority for consideration of appointment on compassionate ground. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the respondents within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
