JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 17-05-2016 Learned counsel representing University informs the Court that two cheques with regard to two left over issues have already been prepared and the petitioner is free to collect the same from the University. Other payments have already been made earlier, which is not disputed by the counsel for the petitioner. Before parting, a valiant effort is made by learned counsel representing the petitioner for a direction for payment of interest on delayed payment by the University, which is not disputed as such that there was a delay, may be of almost 18 years. That by itself cannot be a ground for payment of interest
Patna High Court CWJC No.10317 of 2014 dt.17-05-2016 2/2 because the Court must also keep in mind the interest of other 10 crores of people, who are neither a government servant nor funded by the State in whatever capacity they have worked. In view of above, writ application now stands disposed of.
