JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL ORDER 16-05-2016 It is following the order of this Court that a hand made sketch of the ward has been placed on record by the Block Development Officer to demarcate the houses falling in Ward No. 8 and 9 respectively and which shows that the house of the petitioner Ram Balak Choudhary falls in Ward No. 8. The houses in Ward No. 8 have been coloured green while Ward No. 9 is coloured in blue and they have been demarcated in red ink.

Although Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, learned counsel for the petitioners chooses to question this demarcation inter alia on

Patna High Court CWJC No.7990 of 2016 (4) dt.16-05-2016 grounds that the name of family members appears in different wards but the error occurring in the voter list cannot be a ground for earmarking the situs of the house in the ward. That the Block Development Officer has clearly confirmed the status of the petitioner ward-wise, nothing survives in the present writ petition. The family members of the petitioners herein would be at liberty to take steps for transferring their name from the respective wards in case there is yet time available for the exercise. This writ petition is disposed of.
