The petitioner, who worked as Clerk in the Madanpur Block, District-Aurangabad, has approached this Court for a direction to give him promotion notionally on junior selection grade w.e.f. 01.01.1981 and in senior selection grade w.e.f. 03.07.1993 and on need-based post w.e.f. 01.01.1996. A further prayer has been made by the petitioner for giving him all monetary and consequential

Patna High Court CWJC No.1686 of 2019(2) dt.31-01-2019 2/3 benefits with the aforesaid promotion coupled with the payment of arrears of salary from the period 01.08.1999 to 31.05.2001. The petitioner also prayed for payment of unutilized leave-encashment.

The details which are necessary for adjudication of these claims have not been provided by the petitioner in the present writ petition. However, it appears that several representations were filed by the petitioner before the Circle Officer, Block- Madanpuras, District - Aurangabad as well as the District Magistrate, Aurangabad but those representations, according to the petitioner, have gone on deaf ears.

Under the circumstances and to cut short the period of litigation, this Court directs the petitioner to make a representation before the District Magistrate, Aurangabad within a period of four weeks, detailing his claims and entitlement along with a copy of this order and on receipt of such representation, the District Magistrate, Aurangabad shall pass necessary orders in accordance with law after verifying all the records within a period of six weeks
