JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 06-05-2019 The petitioner, who is the husband of late Asha Devi, who was engaged as an AASHA worker, has approached this Court for a direction to the respondent authorities to make ex-gratia payment of Rs. 4,00,000/- to him on account of the death of the AASHA worker (the petitioner's wife) while serving as AASHA worker.

The learned counsel appearing for the State Health Society, Govt. of Bihar, Patna has submitted that the process for releasing funds has begun and it is expected that within four months, after proper verification about the petitioner being the nearest kith and kin of the deceased AASHA worker, the same shall be made available for exgratia payment to which the petitioner is entitled.

3. Taking into account the aforesaid submission on behalf of the State Health Society, Govt. of Bihar, Patna, the petitioner is only directed to make a representation before the Executive Director, State Health Society, Govt. of Bihar, Patna (respondent No. 6), who, on receipt of such
