2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 127(2), 115(2), 117(2), 118(1), 109, 303(2), 351(2), 352 and 3(5) of the B.N.S..

3. The prosecution case, in brief, is that on 14.05.2025 at about 9:15 PM, this petitioner, along with co-accused Rewati Raman and 5 to 6 unknown persons, came to the house of informant and assaulted him by means of fist and slap and demanded Rangdari. It is further alleged that on 18.05.2025 at about 2:30 PM, when the informant was going to Nishant bricks

No.62331 of 2025(2) dt.15-09-2025 2/3 along with one Raju Rai on a motorcycle, in the meantime, this petitioner along with co-accused Rewati Raman and 5 to 6 unknown persons, armed with deadly weapons, intercepted them, assaulted and again demanded Rangdari and on refusal, this petitioner assaulted on the head of informant by means of sickle and co-accused Rewati Raman snatched gold chain from the neck of informant.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has committed no offence. As a matter of fact, on account of land dispute between the parties, this false and concocted case has been lodged.

On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and submitted that petitioner is named in the F.I.R. with specific accusation that he, along with other accused persons, assaulted informant and demanded Rangdari. Petitioner has got two criminal antecedents out of which one is of similar in nature.
