A supplementary show cause has been filed today on behalf of the Registrar, L.N. Mithila University. From the Annexure-'B' to the said show cause it appears that the petitioner has been paid a sum of Rs. 2,91,724/- towards the amount due to him as arrear of pension for the period 1st December, 1998 till 31st March, 2013 with interest @ 6% per annum. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the calculation shown in the Annexure-'C' to the supplementary show cause, will be required to be verified from the petitioner.

Patna High Court MJC No.2002 of 2016 (6) dt.06-09-2018 At this stage, learned counsel representing the University submits that in case the petitioner finds that some amount shall remain due in terms of the order of the learned writ court and it is required to be paid by the University, he may represent the same to the University giving his own calculation and the same will be considered by the Registrar and Finance Officer of the University within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the representation. Learned counsel further submits that anything found due to the petitioner over and above the amount which has been paid to him, shall also be paid within next three weeks after considering the representation. In view of the stand taken on behalf of the University, learned counsel for the petitioner agrees for purpose of the disposal of the application.

Let the application be disposed of in terms stated herein above. For the claim not found payable a reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner. In case the petitioner finds that the statement made on behalf of the University has not been taken care of by the Registrar or Finance Officer, the same will be brought to the notice of this Court.
