Following relief has been sought for in paragraph 1 of the present application on behalf of the petitioner: "That the application is for appropriate writ, order and direction on the respondents for granting arms licence to the petitioner for which he has applied."

The petitioner had applied for Arms licence before the respondent no. 2 (the District Magistrate, Purnea) in a prescribed format as provided under the statute. The said application was made on 13.01.2018 which is pending till date. The respondent no. 2 is directed to pass an appropriate order in accordance with law upon the application pending

Patna High Court CWJC No.1819 of 2019(2) dt.31-01-2019 2/2 before him within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of this order.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
