JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 31-07-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1(i). For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents authorities to pay the reasonable compensation to the petitioner for the loss caused to him by changing the nature of the land bearing Khata No. 85, Kheshra No. 138 Area 2.38 decimals in Mauza Khempur under Thana No. 251 in the district of Katihar.
(ii). For issuance of appropriate writ directing the respondents authorities to enquire in to the matter regarding the loss to the petitioner and accordingly to take a suitable action in this matter."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Collector, Katihar, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
