The petitioner seeks bail in Sugauli P.S.Case No.102 of 2013 registered under Sections 304B, 201, 120B IPC and Section 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The informant, father of the deceased, made allegation that his daughter was married with the petitioner on 17th May, 2011 and on Ist April, 2013, he got information that his daughter was killed and her dead body was cremated.
It is submitted that the Investigating Officer took the statements of the witnesses, who have stated that the victim died due to illness.
It appears that the informant and other witnesses have very categorically made statements that the wife of the petitioner was killed due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and accordingly, the same is rejected.
