2. The petitioners have challenged, in this application under Section 482 Cr.P.C., the order of cognizance dated 07.02.2013 passed in Magadh University P.S.Case No.114 of 2012, whereby cognizance was taken against the petitioners for offences under Sections 341,323,504 and 498(A) I.P.C. as well as under Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Opposite party No.2 is informant of this case.

3. Learned counsel for the parties informs that the parties have settled their disputes and both the spouses are living

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24266 of 2016 dt.17-07-2019 2/2 happily together. To that effect, a petition has been filed before the learned court below as well as a joint affidavit before this Court also.

4. Considering the compromise of the case between the parties, continuance of the proceeding would be an abuse of the process of the court. Hence, the impugned order and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the impugned order are quashed and this application stands allowed.
