JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 14-05-2015 Heard learned counsels for the petitioners and the State. The petitioners are apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

It is alleged that the informant fixed the marriage of his sister with petitioner no. 1 Samarjeet Kumar Singh. Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are family members of petitioner no. 1. Engagement was performed and thereafter the dates of Tilak and marriage ceremonies were fixed but later on demand of rupees five lacs and a car were made when inability was shown but ultimately marriage was not

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.17461 of 2015 (2) dt.14-05-2015 2/2 solemnized.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that neither any engagement was done nor any gift was given to the petitioners and maliciously the entire family including the old grand father of petitioner no. 1 have been made accused. Considering the aforesaid facts, let the above named petitioner be released on anticipatory bail in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of twelve weeks from today on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Saran at Chapra in connection with Chapra Mahila P.S. Case No. 24 of 2014 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
