The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No.379 of 2020, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 387, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
As per FIR, allegation against the petitioner is that he alongwith other co-accused person assaulted the informant and demanded extortion money.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. It is submitted that the petitioner has got seven criminal antecedents as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail application. It is further submitted that the injuries sustained by

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner by submitting that the petitioner is named in the FIR and there is specific allegation against him of demanding extortion money.
Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected.
