The petitioner seeks regularization of his service in the Department of the State Government, where he claims to have worked on the post of Chowkidar since November, 1979 till 20.10.1984 and thereafter on daily wages till January, 2005 as seasonal labourer.

At the outset, learned counsel for the State raises an objection that no such relief can be sought by the petitioner in

Patna High Court CWJC No.16545 of 2008 (2) dt.18-09-2015 view of the law laid down in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka and others vs. Umadevi (3) and others: (2006) 4 SCC 1. I am inclined to accept the aforesaid submission of learned counsel for the State.
