Mr.Shailendra Kumar ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 20-02-2020 Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Madhepur P.S. Case No. 101 of 2017, corresponding to S.T. No. 181 of 2019, registered for the offence punishable under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is not named in the FIR and it appears that his name transpired during investigation and apart from that he is accused in 22 other cases.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that except confessional statement there is nothing against him and out of 22 cases in eight cases he has been acquitted and he has been granted bail by this Court in five other cases and he is in custody since 12.2.2019.

Heard learned APP and perused the report of trial court from which it appears that trial is progressing fast and out

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.58748 of 2019(5) dt.20-02-2020 2/2 of seven witnesses six contested witnesses have been examined. Considering the above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. However, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within a period of six months. If trial is not concluded within said period, petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.

Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
