The petitioner seeks bail in Shankarpur P.S. Case No. 12 of 2021, registered for the offence punishable under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Subsequently, section 304B was added.

It is a case of dowry death.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and he is living separately and has got no concern with the family affairs of the deceased and her husband. Husband of the deceased is already in custody. No specific overt act has been alleged against this petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 13.03.2021 having no criminal antecedent. Investigation is complete. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.70738 of 2021(2) dt.07-03-2022 2/2 and the fact that petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and there is general and omnibus allegation, the petitioner abovenamed, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madhepura in connection with Shankarpur P.S. Case No. 12 of 2021.
