2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 / 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. It is alleged that petitioners alongwith other coaccused persons demanded Rs. Five lacs cash and one Bolero car, as dowry, and due to non-fulfillment of the same, they committed torture to the informant.

4. Petitioner no. 1 is father-in-law and petitioner no. 2

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.61485 of 2023(2) dt.16-10-2023 2/2 is mother-in-law of the complainant. Thrust of the allegation is against husband of the complainant. Petitioners are separate in mess & property and have got no concern with the affairs of the couple. There is general and omnibus allegation.

5. However, learned A.P.P. and learned counsel for the complainant opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioners, in the event of their arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Patna in Complaint Case No. 2972(C)/2019, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
