2. petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s) ; "(i). For issuance of Mandamus against the respondents concerned to issue correction/Modification/Corrigendum in Clause (iii) in Advertisement No.26/2023. Education Department, Bihar, issued by the Bihar Public Service Commission, 15 Nehru Path (Bailey Road, Patna-800001) to the extent that Economics and Civics/Pole science subjects in social science group will have the same value as History and

Patna High Court CWJC No.13038 of 2023(2) dt.11-12-2024 2/3 Geography in selection/appointment of teachers in 7th round in the state of Bihar (Annexure-3.).

(ii) For issuance of direction against the respondents concerned that all subjects in social science group History, Geography, Civics/Political Science, Economics (Code 107) would be treated at Par with History and geography and the students optioning any two subjects in that group of social sciences will be treated equally and there should not be advantage to only History and Geography subjects by making those two subjects (History and Geography) Mandatory and the petitioner should be treated equally with the students whose subjects was necessarily either History or Geography in graduation.

(iii) To set aside the Notice dated 27.06.2023 issued by the Examination, Controller Bihar Public Service Commission 15, Nehru Path (Bailey Road) Patna (Annexure-4) whereby and whereunder mandatory provision of History ог geography in social science group for appearing in Examination for selection/ appointment of the teachers in Madhyamic schools controlled by the Education Department, Got. of Bihar has been published.

3. Learned counsel for the State submits that pursuant to Advertisement no. 26/2023 selection and appointment of teachers have already been completed and as such, this application has become infructuous.
