The appellant had approached the High Court for release of his truck which had been seized in
Patna High Court L.P.A No.998 of 2019(2) dt.31-03-2022 2/2 connection with a criminal case registered under the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. The learned Single Judge, on finding that the confiscation proceedings against the aforesaid vehicle has already been started, rejected the writ petition seeking release of the vehicle in question but directed the confiscating authority to expedite the hearing and pass a final order within stipulated period of time. We do not find any fault with this order.
There is no reason why this appeal be entertained.
There is no merit in this appeal and thus is dismissed accordingly.
