That this writ application is being filed on behalf of the petitioner aforementioned, seeking the issuance of the appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions to halt the commencement of Form-K under Charge Sheet in departmental proceeding No. 12/2003 initiated by the Senior Superintendent of Police,

Though the present writ petition was filed for directing the respondents not to frame Prapatra-Ka and not to initiate departmental proceeding against the petitioner, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner has limited the grievance raised by the petitioner to issuance of appropriate direction upon the disciplinary authority to conclude the departmental proceeding within a stipulated time frame.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted that the departmental proceeding in question shall be concluded within a stipulated time frame, as is directed by this Court.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the disciplinary authority to conclude the departmental proceeding in question i.e.

Departmental Proceeding No. 12 of 2023, by taking the final decision within a period of six months from today.
