2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Salimpur P.S. Case No. 118 of 2025 registered for the offence under Sections 140(2) of BNS.

3. The petitioner is named in the F.I.R. and is in custody since 07.05.2025.

4. As per FIR, some unknown miscreants kidnapped the informant and released him only after receiving a ransom of Rs. 30,000/- where transaction was made online with a given mobile number as mentioned in FIR.

5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a "mali" and he was

No.58746 of 2025(4) dt.15-11-2025 2/3 asked by informant to bring flower from market and for purchasing the same Rs. 6,00/-was transferred to his mobile but as he was unable to supply the same by evening he returned Rs. 550/- on the same day through online transaction. It is submitted that in view of same the petitioner cannot be said the recipient of ransom money as alleged. While concluding the argument, it is submitted that petitioner is found involved in one more criminal case where he is on bail and moreover, investigation of this case is completed, for which charge-sheet has been submitted, as such, there is no chance of tampering with the evidence.

6. Learned APP opposes the prayer of bail.

In view of aforesaid factual submission and by taking note of fact as transaction explained aforesaid primafacie failed to suggests that petitioner is a recipient of ransom money as alleged through FIR, coupled with fact that investigation of this case already completed where petitioner remains in custody since 07.05.2025, accordingly petitioner above named, is directed to be released on bail in connection with Salimpur P.S. Case No. 118 of 2025 on furnishing bail
